Checking In - Music Production
The production division of the music group has played a focused but important role throughout the Project. Their main responsibility has been producing the group’s music on GarageBand. It is a specific task and essential in shaping the final sound of the project.
How It's Done
Throughout the process, the team has used GarageBand to create, record, and arrange the group’s tracks. This involves selecting suitable instrument sounds, building beats, and layering different audio elements together to form a complete piece. They experimented with loops, virtual instruments and effects to match the style and mood the group wanted to achieve. Even though the software is user-friendly, producing a high-quality track required careful attention to timing, structure, and balance.
James and Liam
I interviewed two students from this division, James and Liam. The two have been working tirelessly, collaborating with the dance group to create music for their performances. When speaking to Liam, he showed strong enthusiasm and dedication to his role. Alongside James, he has consistently put in effort to produce high-quality music. As Liam explained, “It’s an interesting position we’ve been put into. Although we’re not directly playing instruments, we still feel like we have a valuable job to do.”
Working Towards the Goal
The music producers are crucial to the success of the overall project. As the project continues to develop, they will play a key role of bringing everything together and ensuring the final performances are supported by music that enhances both the energy and impact of the group’s work.
